Begin The Journey

When writing what I like to do is first pick a genre. Such as:

• THRILLER
• HORROR
• COMEDY
• ROMANCE
• SCIENCE FICTION
• ETC.

There are so many genres to choose from, and believe me it's not a pick one and run with it kind of thing. You need to pick one that you truly can get into. One that excites you the most. Don't do what some people do and base it off of what makes the most. Because if you are writing only to make money, then your writing will never make you a dime. You need to write because it's a passion, not just because it can make you money.

The next thing you need to do is get a notebook (Or use NotePad on your computer.) and write down these next 5 things down:

1. PLOT
2. SETTING
3. CHARACTERS
4. CHARACTER TRAITS

(Now this next one is just something I like to do and it may actually be something you may end up liking as well. But trust me it's not for everyone.)

      5.THE WAY YOU WANT THE BOOK TO END

Now that last one is rather fun. Because you know how the story ends now all you need to do is devise a plain that leads your Characters to that final conclusion. It's not for everyone as I stated above, but it does make for one fun way to write a story.

Now that you have everything set all you need to do now is write, write, write. But a word of advice, don't get discouraged, it isn't easy writing, if it was then everyone in the world would be Authors.
